FAQ
STATE OF ALASKA FISHING REGULATIONS:
The state allows anglers on chartered fishing trips to retain 4 halibut annually. Your daily limit is 2 halibut with one being over 28 inches, the other being under. Additionally, chartered boats are not allowed to fish Halibut on Wednesdays. These regulations imposed by the great State of Alaska are to help ensure halibut for our future generations.
How can you argue with that?
Ling Cod opener is July 1. Limit: up to 2 per person depending on the area fished. The rockfish limit is 5 per person.
WEATHER:
Alaska Ocean Pros fishes rain or shine. Be prepared for inclimate weather, wear layers and bring rain gear. Although we have a cozy heated cabin, you can’t catch fish if you are warming up by the heater.
FISHING LICENSES:
In order to fish in our great state you are required to obtain an Alaska Fishing License. There are many options available. They can be purchased ahead of time on the State of Alaska website. If you will be fishing for King Salmon don’t forget to add that as well. State of Alaska Fishing License
