Owner /Captain Gabriel Linegar is a hard core fisherman at heart. He has grown up on Alaska’s waters, first starting his guiding career in 2004 as a river guide. His real love has always been the ocean and in 2013 he made the full time switch to Homer Halibut Fishing charters.
Captain Pono Chow
Captain Pono Chow has been with us since 2016 and runs the Joker. His family is from Hawaii but he has long-time family ties to the Homer area.

This was by far the best charter I could have asked for. Our captain and the owner, Gabe and his deck hand Felicia were shining personalities who taught, while we caught. We (my dad and I) couldn’t do our original combo trip as planned due to weather but this dynamic duo went above and beyond to make sure we CAUGHT BIG FISH. Taking home over 50lbs of halibut will fill my fridge for a while. They kept it safe, classy-ish, and “reel” fun. If you want a charter, there’s no doubt with this company! Disclosure: do not come as a grump. Waves may be rocky and you may get sick. Youre on a body of water that is weather dependent. Bring Dramamine and have fun! Good luck feeshin!! Days 1 and 2: Mike and Dave made this first time family experience a very positive, fruitful, and educational outing. We spent multiple days fishing with them, and they were very thorough with safety and communication. Even better, they ensured everyone got their fair share of fish, even when weather turned dicey. Highly recommended!
Day 3: Jimmy and Gabe were phenomenal. They brought us to the best spots to catch our ling cod, then the optimal location for rock fish. Their passion was evident when they took us around the different islands after we maxed out. The fishing trip was more than that - the crew became a team, and the captain (and owner Gabe) a tour guide of the islands and Afognak Wilderness Lodge. Highly recommended!!!

Hands down BEST CAPTAIN, CREW & BOAT in Homer!
The Captain & Crew are young aggressive fishermen willing to go the distance to make sure you catch quality fish.
FAMILY FISHING TRIP- some captains are over salty and can not have patience for new fishermen, not the Casino! This Captain and crew were very patient, helpful and polite. AND THERES A BATHROOM.
*Please, for the love of God, find the flush button and push it for 20 seconds before and after using the toilet…
You will NOT be disappoint.
*Please also make sure to tip the deck hands. Jimmy, if you’re reading this, great job lil brotha, see you soon!
And Gabe, thanks for everything you did for us!

The best fishing Captain and crew in Homer… we went on the Killer combo and absolutely crushed it… Huge ling cod, Halibut and multi species of rockfish…. If your are going to fish in Alaska you must fish with Captain Gabe and his phenomenal crew…. #onpoint#totalproffesional

An all around fantastic experience! Gabe and the whole crew are very professional, down to earth, and passionate about fishing and hunting. The whole crew (Gabe, Jim, and Jimmy) were very helpful and wanted us to catch the big ones more than anyone else. These guys know the best spots to find those big ones, Its not a fishing trip when you go out with Alaska Ocean Pros, its a catching trip. The group of guys I went had a blast and are stoked to do another charter with this great company!
